The popular frozen waffle brand Eggo has unveiled the Eggo House of Pancakes, a home that has received a makeover both inside and out to make it appear like a stack of flapjacks. The Gatlinburg, Tenn. home will be available to prospective guests beginning Feb. 28 — also known as National Pancake Day. The kitchen at the Eggo House of Pancakes comes stocked with an assortment of the brand's products. Guests at the House of Pancakes will arrive to a fully-stocked fridge full of Eggo pancakes. The company said that it chose to make the home pancake-themed instead of waffle-themed because Gatlinburg is the "pancake capital of the South."

The 70-year-old waffle brand has teamed up with vacuum maker Bissell to introduce a one-of-a-kind cleaning device: the EggoVac. Put simply, the EggoVac is a Bissell SpinWave R5 cleaner with a breakfast-inspired makeover. The round robot has been designed to look like a toasted Eggo waffle covered in butter and syrup, with the brand's iconic yellow and red iconography lining its edges. The frozen waffle brand turned heads in August with its "Brunch in a Jar" liqueur. Kellogg’s Eggo and Sugarlands Distilling Company partnered to launch a sippable boozy waffle beverage called Eggo Brunch in a Jar Sippin’ Cream, according to a news release Tuesday. This Eggo beverage isn’t for the kiddos, but parents are welcome to indulge. “Eggo Brunch in a Jar makes it easy for parents to kick back when they’re not caring for their little ones,” Beauprez said. The alcoholic brunchtime drink isn’t the first collaboration between Eggo and Sugarlands. The brands collaborated last year to create Eggo Nog, according to Sugarlands’ master distiller, Greg Eidam.

Waffle-maker company Eggo has been fined $85,000 after being convicted of negligently releasing toxic ammonia from a factory in San Jose, California, prosecutors announced. Prosecutors said anhydrous ammonia is a toxic gas that can cause “severe injury or death.”Eggo managers failed to call 911 until over an hour passed, believing they had stopped the leak. During the delay, 3,400 pounds of anhydrous ammonia escape the factory into the surrounding neighborhood, prompting residents to shelter in place for several hours until the leak was stopped, prosecutors said. “Public safety and the environment are threatened with every passing minute in these cases,” Deputy District Attorney Jason Bussey said. “When companies fail to immediately report a release, they face serious consequences.”Since the fiasco, Eggo has cooperated with regulatory authorities and is upgrading its systems and procedures to prevent future gas releases, prosecutors said.

I love Eggo waffles just as much as the next guy, if not more. That said, I've never once had an Eggo waffle and thought to myself you know what would make this better? The liqueur, Kellogg's reasons, will "give grownups a unique way to L'Eggo of the holiday stress this season." Eggo fandom aside, the "L'Eggo" pun alone was enough to get me to want to try the Eggo Nog. Sugarlands boasts that "every sip [is] reminiscent of a perfectly toasted Eggo waffle," but the truth is that the Eggo flavor is nowhere to be found.
